Crypto Gaming - ORDINEM Closed Beta Now Available

Background for the Blog Content section

We’re over the moon to announce that our second game ORDINEM is now available to play in closed beta!  Find the access code by joining the discord.  ORDINEM lets you command your own combination of the five mythical factions, using your deck of cards to cast spells and summon followers.  It is a Trading Card Game (TCG) which features cards as Non-Fungible Tokens (NFT) and 3ULL coin integration.  The game is heavily inspired by Magic: The Gathering, Hearthstone and other similar online card games.

We are going to unveil  how ORDINEM is pushing forward crypto gaming.  You can browse the ORDINEM Wiki page for a much more in depth look at the over 200 cards themselves, and the specific in game rules.. Let’s enter the frontier! GLHF.

Watch this video to get an exclusive look at ORDINEM.

The Basics of ORDINEM

ORDINEM challenges players to strategically play cards in battle that give them the best opportunity to defeat the opposing player. All cards have archetypes, which determine how you use them on the battlefield. Followers, for example, are your troops, and have strength (attack) and resilience (hit point).  They also have a 'thread cost', determining how many threads you need to put onto the frontier. For a full breakdown of the rulebook, click here.  Below are card archetypes that can be found in ORDINEM.

Follower

Followers are ‘creatures’ or ‘minions’ that can be summoned.  Followers have Strength and Resilience. Strength is how much damage the follower deals when it attacks, and Resilience is how much it can take. If Resilience is ever 0, the Follower is destroyed.

Relic

Relics are mechanical contraptions that serve various purposes. They stay on the Frontier and usually have passive or activated abilities.

Twine

Twines are magical objects or enhancements made from woven threads of magic. They stay on the Frontier to give permanent or repeating effects.

Spell

Magical spells that are played for a ‘one off’ dazzling effect. They don't stay in the Frontier.

Weave

Weaves are your primary Thread sources. You put them into the Frontier by Enweaving at the start of your turn.

More information about the order of play can be found here. ORDINEM has many exciting blockchain integrations, including the cards themselves acting as NFTs.

ORDINEM cards are NFTs

ORDINEM continues to push crypto gaming boundaries by creating digital playable cards as NFTs. Actual asset ownership gives players the confidence to see global market card activity on the blockchain and keep assets forever. Every pack and card purchased in ORDINEM can be listed and bought on the marketplace, which players can test now in closed beta! By making the process permissionless via smart contracts and instant transactions, players can set their desired price for a card, and buyers can purchase the NFT without a middleman involved.  ORDINEM solves one of the greatest pain points for players: they can now freely distribute their cards for their desired price. Online TCGs like Magic: The Gathering prevent players from selling and trading cards leaving them with cards they would never use.

Another game that has embraced TCG cards as NFTs is Splinterlands. It has opened up unique cases for players to earn yield by allowing them to rent out their cards for others to use. To upgrade Splinterland cards, the player must burn multiple copies of the same card, which creates scarcity by limiting the supply.  The game also includes an auto-battle system where the result is recorded on the blockchain.

ORDINEM, in contrast, encourages players to test their card battle and deck-builder skills in real-time turn-based combat.  Another way PLAYA3ULL GAMES pushes blockchain boundaries as a Web3 gaming studio is more use cases in ORDINEM for the 3ULL coin.

The Bullish case for 3ULL coin and blockchain gaming

The blockchain utility continues for the 3ULL coin, which will be used to purchase ORDINEM card packs.  This continues the trend of 30 games in 10 years by PLAYA3ULL GAMES and using the 3ULL coin for all games released.  Using one coin simplifies the blockchain gaming experience for users as it does not require constant searching for new token contract addresses, which will save time.

Blockchain rewards for ORDINEM will also come in 3ULL coins, and players already love the earning aspect with our first game, NEXUS.  If players hunger for more 3ULL coins, they can be claimed daily by owning a PLAYA3ULL GAMES node.

New blockchain games are breaking boundaries by giving back to the players who graciously provide their time and feedback to help improve games.  The ORDINEM  Testnet NFT marketplace can be accessed here to see the future of player-owned economies. Feel free to explore and give feedback to the PLAYA3ULL GAMES team.

We hope this gives you a quick rundown on ORDINEM's benefits and how it continues to push crypto gaming to uncharted territories. We’re incredibly excited to launch the open beta on the Epic Games Store, and the closed beta is ready for your competitive skills!  The closed beta can be accessed with a secret code available ONLY in the PLAYA3ULL GAMES discord.  Join here to get the exclusive ACCESS CODE.
